Richmond Woman Charged with Felonies After Shooting on Interstate 64

A Richmond woman is facing three felony charges after she allegedly shot at another woman on Interstate 64. Virginia State Police received a complaint from a 21-year-old woman who said that the suspect, K.W., shot at her after the two had an argument at a truck scales station off of the I-64. Reports did not elaborate on whether or not the two women knew each other or what the altercation was about. The 21-year-old was not injured. K.W. allegedly fled the incident before police arrived but officers were able to track her down based on descriptions and information gathered at the scene of the shooting. She was found at a residence in south Richmond where she at first refused to come out to police. She later surrendered and was taken into custody without incident. G.W. was held without bond and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and attempted first-degree murder; all are felony offenses. No other details in the incident have been provided.
